Nga Whakamārama - Service Description

Awhi Mai Awhi Atu is a free service dedicated to helping whānau build relationships with Early Childhood Education (ECE) centers. Our Mission is to assist whānau in finding the best and most suitable early learning opportunities within their Community.

This program aids whānau with tamariki aged 3-5 years in making well-informed decisions when selecting an early learning center or Kohanga Reo. We offer support from the initial enrollment in early childhood education through to the first week at Kura (School). Tamariki are provided with an early learning environment where they can engage in free play and socialise with others, while whānau collaborate with the program facilitator to develop a tailored early learning plan

  • whānau who have a child aged betweem 3 - 5 years old
  • Whānau who live in the Hutt Valley (Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt)
