Te Kete Aronui
Ngā Whakamārama- Service Description
Te Kete Aronui is a Kaupapa Māori music and art therapy based in the heart of Wainuiomata aimed at nurturing and acquiring new knowledge on how best to express emotions through creativity, writing, singing, making their own beats to produce a waiata and piece of art.
This programme, which is held at our Wainuiomata Marae and is overseen by our Atua Māori and consists of two mandatory Wānanga and lasts for one term.
This training is intended for rangatahi who are experiencing difficulties with expressing their emotions in a healthy way. There is also a pathway for our Rangatahi to Omata Productions to continue producing music.
